On Sunday 4th February, 2 NLCS teams, both consisting of 5 year 12 scientists, competed in the UK Physics competition organised by The Weizmann Institute of Science. The judges, of whom included Professor Marcus du Sautoy, were highly impressed by the NLCS safes but unfortunately, the teams narrowly missed out on qualifying for the international tournament due to tremendous competition. The NLCS safes were extremely rarely cracked, demonstrating the high standard and sophisticality of the Physics riddles.
The day was a great learning experience and a huge success in the sense that NLCS had 2 fully functioning safes on the day, which was not as common as one may expect! Better luck next year!
